Saw the last episode of Utopia - overall I've really enjoyed this series (probably more than S1) - I'll be interested to see what they do for a 3rd series if they get one (I know there's been reports that the ratings have been way down compared to S1). Rewatched Sherlock Series 3 recently (as I’d got the DVD) - I still like it but I prefer the 1st two series - maybe the gap between S2 and S3 meant that I read so much fanfic that my head-canon no longer matched up with where they went in the show - I honestly don’t know. I quite liked Babylon (the C4 police drama/comedy directed by Danny Boyle w/James Nesbitt, Paterson Joseph, Jill Halfpenny + more) tho' I think it would have worked better if it had been shorter and they'd just concentrated on one storyline. Channel 5 are showing a new police drama called Suspects starting on Wed starring Faye Ripley + Damien Molony (among others). Apparently what they did is have a storyline for each episode + police advisors to help them but then it was up to the actors to improvise all the dialogue so should be interesting to see how it's turned out.

I have seen a lot of speculation about who the new Dr Who should be. Honestly, I can't pick a favourite. I can think of tons of actors who could probably do a great job with it (tho' let's be honest, it's the writing they need to work on at the moment) but I think a lot of them would probably steer clear - it's a big commitment and like it or not, ( Read more... )

I rewatched S5 of Being Human as I got the DVD for my birthday. Overall, I thought it was a good series and I suppose if the show had to end it was a good way to end it (we will not talk about that extra scene on the DVD which I thought was a complete waste of time and I really just wish they'd left the ending the way it was broadcast). This one is a collection of interviews with various female artists such as Marina Abramovic, Orlan, Penny Arcade, Irina Ionesco, Guerilla Girls, Liz Mcgrath, Lisa Petrucci and Jessica Joslin. Got the new issue of SFX which had a big feature on the films coming out as a leadup to The Avengers 2 plus a preview of upcoming stuff for 2013 and an article on Total Recall (I still can't decide if the remake with Colin Farrell is going to be shit or not).
